{"id":1199,"date":"2014-09-09T10:00:09","date_gmt":"2014-09-09T17:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10kdev.net\/?p=1199"},"modified":"2014-09-09T10:17:28","modified_gmt":"2014-09-09T17:17:28","slug":"intellij-eap-14-and-that-darn-mac-thing-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/10kdev.net\/?p=1199","title":{"rendered":"IntelliJ EAP 14 and that darn Mac thing again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I use a commercial version of IntelliJ when I am not using Eclipse (who&#8217;s newer Luna release is very, very good). \u00a0But doing Grails, I need that version of IntelliJ since community doesn&#8217;t cut it or I get relegated to the command line. \u00a0I still use my 11 version, as 12 was too glitchy and now that 14 is getting ready to come out soon, don&#8217;t need 13.<\/p>\n<p>Digging through the comments on <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.jetbrains.com\/idea\/2014\/06\/intellij-idea-14-early-preview-is-available\/\">IntelliJ EAP 14<\/a>, I ran across this comment:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/10kdev.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/227e6c4697b1964f0479e9b40af0d8e9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right. \u00a0We *always* talk about this, how difficult it is to work with Java and Macs. \u00a0 Sad shame. \u00a0Java 6? \u00a0Wow. \u00a0This has oft been the poison pill for me and Apple computers.
