Waiting on a delivery from UPS\/Sears, I was notified via email that the delivery would be late because of a train or trailer delay.<\/p>\n

Not a problem for me. \u00a0Almost every place, except Amazon, is a maze of deciphering to figure out just when something will arrive.<\/p>\n

This status on the UPS site hearkens back to *so many* projects I have been on where failure was declared success.<\/p>\n

A Late Trailer Has Caused a Delay?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Well which is it?<\/p>\n

Some years ago I was on a project that had been postponed several times, making the release about 7 months or so after it was supposed to be released. Due to missed requirements and such.<\/p>\n

While I would call such a miss a failure, parties were thrown and congratulations sent out and some bonuses paid.<\/p>\n

Personally I couldn’t figure out the whole scene . . . the software we made wasn’t going to be used because the window was missed and the business replaced it with something off the shelf. \u00a0Last I had heard (back then), the software never gained any traction and had lay fallow on the servers. \u00a0Success . . . ?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
