Welcome to my project.<\/p><\/div>\n

“The Leadership Team”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sometimes history repeats itself so badly you just can’t believe it.<\/p>\n

I was put on a project team where the manager was considered an “outlaw” and “highly productive.” \u00a0I thought, well, cool. \u00a0But after a month I knew what was up, the company had themselves a bonafide, true blue death march commandant.<\/p>\n

The first indications started to seep in with who the manager appointed as his team leads; they were people who would basically schedule late Friday afternoon meetings on short notice. \u00a0With little technical skill they’d head up “code reviews” and basically they’d be on a meta-level of discussing “I told you mobile was the future!!!!” One *leader* listed herself as a scrum leader but was never at the meetings unless upper management showed up, and dyed her hair more times than Lady Gaga during performance sets. \u00a0It was, in short, humorous for me and quite interesting. \u00a0And still history repeats itself!<\/p>\n

Since I chose this career, there’s not really a whole lot a team can throw at me that will make me balk. \u00a0What kills me though, is the willingness of a company to be non-productive and waste time.<\/p>\n

During the course of a rollout we followed a classic 1990’s schedule:<\/p>\n
